Coates Hire Acquires Boylans Traffic Solutions, Roma Equipment & SBH Pty Ltd

Recent Acquistions: Boylans Traffic Solutions, Roma Equipment Hire & SBH Pty Limited.
On the acquisition front, Coates Hire recently purchased, Boylans Traffic Solutions, the hire arm of the Boylans Group.This exciting new restructure means the popular Boylans range is now available for hire exclusively via Australia’s largest equipment hire company. With over 200 Coates Hire branch locations nationwide, the popular Boylan range will be available in even more metro, regional & remote locations.
Boylan Group’s exclusive products include the BarrierGuard 800, Australia’s highest-rated road safety barrier and SpeedCheck, a low-cost speed advisory sign that has been found to substantially curb speeding. Boylan Eagle Eye is a new technology that enables engineers and safety officers to monitor road conditions at multiple sites – in real time – via a web browser. It proved particularly useful during January’s Queensland floods crisis, when rising water levels isolated motorists and put many lives at risk.
The high focus on quality and safety characterised by Boylan Group's products is highly compatible with Coates Hire, promoting our ‘Safety First’ mantra even further.
Another recent addition to Coates Hire is Roma Equipment Hire, located in the western Darling Downs region of Queensland, about 500km west of Brisbane.
“Roma Equipment Hire is a perfect fit for our business,” said Richard Greenwood, Sales and Marketing Manager for Coates Hire North.
“The business has a great reputation that will allow us to expand in Roma itself and across our distribution network in South West Queensland. The Surat Basin includes coal mining and coal seam gas developments as well as an active agricultural community, spread across a very large area,”
"At present the business is focussed on tools and equipment, but now as a Coates Hire branch, this is being expanded to include our specialist products like earthmoving equipment, portable buildings, light and power, grounds products, pumps and access equipment.”
Coates Hire would also like to welcome three new staff members to the Coates Hire team: Rob, Danny Watson and Sandy Appel.
Earlier this year, Coates Hire also acquired the assets of SBH Australia Pty Limited. SBH is a shoring and pump hire business located on the east coast of Australia with significant equipment holdings in Brisbane, Sydney and to a lesser extent Melbourne.
This particular acquisition adds to Coates Hire Specialist Capability across these product categories. As evidence of this capability, the majority of pumps are already on hire and a significant portion of the slide rail products are on hire in Victoria at the Wonthaggi Desalination plant.
