Coates Hire, has expanded their sponsorship of the V8 Supercars Championship, taking naming rights over the season ending Sydney 500.
An existing long-term sponsor of the Championship, Coates Hire have agreed to a multi-year naming rights agreement which will see the Championship decider become the Coates Hire Sydney 500 until 2018.
With over 130 years in market, Coates Hire supplies equipment and temporary infrastructure services to a wide variety of markets including Government, Engineering, Building Construction, Maintenance, Mining and Resources, Manufacturing and Events.
The naming rights of the Coates Hire Sydney 500 is in addition to Coates Hire’s position as the Official Hire Equipment Sponsor of the V8 Supercars Championship, where they provide V8 Supercars with all of the essential equipment and services required to run all V8 Supercars promoted events.
Coates Hire have a long history with the sport, having held the naming rights sponsor position for the Coates Hire Ipswich SuperSprint for the last three years. They also sponsor the Coates Hire Leaderboard, featured in both the V8 TV broadcast and online at v8supercars.com.au.
V8 Supercars Commercial Director Matt Braid said that it was extremely encouraging to see a long-term series partner like Coates Hire looking to expand their presence in the sport.
“With the new naming rights agreement for the Coates Hire Sydney 500, the relationship between Coates Hire and V8 Supercars will reach beyond 15 years – beginning in 2002,” said Braid.

Coates Hire Group Manager – Marketing, Jeremy Hill, said that stepping up into the naming rights position for the Sydney 500 was a strategic expansion of their existing V8 Supercars assets.

The Coates Hire Sydney 500 will conclude the 2015 V8 Supercars Championship, at Sydney Olympic Park across the weekend of December 4-6.
