Coates Hire Racing's Nick Percat dominates at Winton

The third 12-lap race of the penultimate round of the Dunlop Series saw Coates Hire Racing's Nick Percat dominate, winning both the race and round six of the series at Winton Raceway over the weekend.
In race three, Percat got another great start from pole position and led the race from start to finish to record his sixth win of the season.
However unlike in race two on Saturday, Percat didn't have it all his own way. Title rival Scott Pye was glued to his back bumper for the final three laps and despite several passing attempts, Percat held on to win.
Series rivals Chaz Mostert and Scott McLaughlin finished fourth and fifth and never troubled Percat or Pye throughout the race.
After Sunday's third and final race of the weekend, McLaughlin now leads the series on 1,482 points followed by Mostert on 1,475 and Percat on 1,450 with just one round to go at the Homebush street circuit on December 1st and 2nd.
After the race a delighted Nick Percat said: "Today was great. We got through the reverse grid race okay and ended up second, which was a big bonus.
"The key to the third race was to get a good start and I seem to be getting blinding starts at the moment, so that all went to plan and the Coates Hire Racing car was fantastic. I was able to pull a gap at the start and saw Scotty (Pye) come charging towards the end. But once he got to me I still had plenty of tyre life under me, so I could push on a little bit harder and go quicker.
"I was lucky to be the 'rabbit' in that race and dictate the pace a little bit. The Coates Hire and the Walkinshaw Racing crew have been awesome this weekend and all year and hopefully we can maximise our points at Homebush and see where we end up".
