Coates Hire won the coveted Earthmover & Civil Contractor (EMCC) ‘Service to Industry Award 2014’ at a recent gala awards night held in Adelaide.
Held as part of 2014 Civil Contractors Federation National Conference, the EMCC Service to Industry Award 2014 award celebrates and acknowledges excellence, innovation and safety within Australia’s diverse and economically vital civil construction industry.
Coates Hire Group Manager, Special Business, Rafi Tchopourian said that as a leading equipment and services provider to the civil construction industry, winning this award for the first time underlined Coates Hire’s focus on the latest industry solutions, its strong customer service ethic and, above all, its focus on safety.
“As Australia’s leading hire company, when it comes to new equipment and services, there are several ways that we differentiate ourselves from the rest of the industry.”
“Firstly, whatever we do, safety is always our number one priority.
“Secondly, we search globally for the latest and best equipment ideas that we can bring to Australia in order to provide the most innovative equipment and solutions to enable our customers to deliver their construction projects more efficiently,” explains Tchopourian.
“We have also set up product and technical teams that work with customers to streamline their processes and provide solutions to their construction projects. We have a senior and well-resourced team of qualified structural engineers who work alongside our customers from the design stage all the way to implementation, to ensure that we provide the best, safest and the most cost effective solutions possible.
We’re very excited the Australian construction industry has recognised our unique market offering and specialist product capability, and also very pleased to be able to accept this award on behalf of the great team of people that work for Coates Hire,” he concluded.
The very nature of the hire business means that a consultative approach towards satisfying a customer’s needs is an integral part of the process, and Coates Hire has long enjoyed a reputation as a dominant player in the market with a broad product base and strategically located branch networks to support their customers.
At the serious end of the equipment rental spectrum comes a range of products commonly found on infrastructure projects, ranging from shoring and trenching resources through to traffic management, power and lighting.
Specialty product expertise is made available through Coates Hire to bolster the intellectual property as well as the equipment resources on offer to civil contractors, affording them capacity on demand in areas that would traditionally require a significant investment in equipment, personnel, training and operational experience.
The flexibility and availability of on-demand resources to businesses of any size provides a significant competitive advantage, particularly in a financial climate where a premium is placed on both equipment and skilled personnel and assets that are expensive to maintain when not achieving high levels of utilisation.
