Community Day at Ipswich branch ahead of Coates Hire Ipswich 360 Round
25 July 2013
V8 Supercars are back in Ipswich today ahead of this weekend’s Coates Hire Ipswich 360. Leading drivers alongside over 200 members of the public were at the Coates Hire Churchill Branch for a free community day including a sausage sizzle and autograph session.
The Ipswich community was encouraged to attend the Coates Hire Branch and enjoy a sausage sandwich while meeting some of their favourite drivers. V8 Supercars Championship leader, Jamie Whincup said it was an excellent way to embrace the local community before the race weekend.
“This is great. Families get the opportunity to enjoy a free event before heading to the track over the weekend,” said Whincup.
“The Coates Hire Ipswich 360 is a family event and this is a fitting way to show we are in town by interacting with the local community.”
Coates Hire is a proud supporter of the motor sport community in its third year as naming rights sponsor for the event.
Coates Hire’s recent two year extension as the Official Equipment Hire Sponsor & Supplier of the Championship series sees the continuation of a brilliant partnership between two proud Australian companies that complement each other well.
“The Ipswich round resonates well with us as a dynamic growth region for Queensland. Coates Hire has been a longstanding part of the Ipswich community and is proud to be able to support an event that aligns well with both our customers and staff” said Adrian Manning, Executive General Manager for Coates Hire Queensland.
The Coates Hire Ipswich 360 is supported by the Ipswich City Council and the Queensland Government through Tourism and Events Queensland as part of a growing calendar of sporting, cultural and regional events throughout the state.
