PERCAT TO RACE IN NEW LIVERY FOR SYDNEY
3 December 2014
Coates Hire Racing will debut an eye catching new livery at this weekends Sydney NRMA 500 in celebration of Nick Percat’s maiden season in V8 Supercars.
The highlights of Percat’s stellar debut season have seen him stand on the podium at Bathurst with co-driver Oliver Gavin, after finishing third in the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1,000.
Other highlights include a close second at Sydney Motorsport Park and qualifying on the front row for Race 21 at Townsville.
From the opening practice session at the Clipsal 500 back in March, Percat has been incredibly consistent and shown maturity beyond his years.
So far, Percat has finished inside the top ten in 21 practice sessions and qualified in the top ten on 14 occasions.
His race results have also been nothing short of remarkable, for a maiden championship year, with 12 top ten race finishes.
The South Australian currently sits 12th in the championship, a mere 90 points from Michael Caruso who is currently 10th.
With 300 points on offer at this weekend’s final round at the tight and unforgiving Homebush street circuit, that weaves its way through the old Olympic village; Percat’s focus is a top ten championship finish, to cap off an outstanding year.
Nick Percat: “I’m looking forward to heading to Homebush this weekend for the final race of the year with our new Coates Hire livery, for their home race.
“It’s very different to the livery we ran at Clipsal this year and we want to make a big impact. It’s pretty aggressive, which is a bit like how we’ve attacked some of the rounds this year and I can’t wait to get it out on the track”.
