Coates Hire Racing's Percat sets the pace in Adelaide
2 March 2012
Coates Hire Racing’s Nick Percat took to the streets of Adelaide today participating to two practice sessions ahead of qualifying and Race 1 tomorrow.
The Coates Hire Racing Commodore was quick from the outset posting the fastest time of 1:23.5184 in Practice 1. Percat then backed that performance up in Practice 2 again topping the time sheets with a 1:22.3738 lap, ahead of Chaz Mostert (1:22.7188) and Tim Blanchard (1:22.9335).
Having delivered a very strong performance at the Clipsal 500 event last year, Percat is keen to see today’s form continue.
"We got through a lot of pre-planned set up work in the two practice sessions, and overall had two solid runs."
"The Coates Hire Commodore was quick in both sessions but importantly, it was responsive to the changes we made."
"We qualified on pole at Adelaide last year and going by today's results I think we have a good shot at another pole tomorrow!”
“It’s great to be back racing and it’s even better to have the support of great partners like Coates Hire and Morris Finance who are supporting our campaign for the second year running. Their backing and commitment to our efforts is genuinely appreciated and I can’t wait to get on the podium” Percat said.
The Dunlop Development Series continues from 9:35am tomorrow (Friday) morning.
