WRC STAR AND CEO HELP COFFS HARBOUR HEALTH CAMPUS
12 September 2014
Coates Hire and The Humpty Dumpty Foundation continue to enhance the lives of children in Coffs Harbour, with a donation to the Coffs Harbour Health Campus Pediatric & Adolescent Unit of a much-needed Vital Signs Monitor worth over $3,750.
World Rally Championship Hyundai driver and Coates Hire Ambassador, Australian Chris Atkinson together with Chief Executive Officer of Coates Hire; Leigh Ainsworth visited the Coffs Hospital to hand over the medical equipment, prior to this weekend’s Coates Hire Rally Australia on the beautiful Coffs Coast.
The Vital Signs Monitor with Stand measures a child’s vital signs – temperature, blood pressure, heart rate and oxygen saturation levels - and ensures medical staff can quickly and effectively respond to changes in a sick child.
“Coates Hire are right behind the community”, said Chris Atkinson. “In the past week we’ve handed over surfboards to the nippers at the Coffs Harbour Surf Club and today we have donated some vital equipment to the Coffs Hospital Pediatric unit”.
Leigh Ainsworth, who attended school in Coffs Harbour while growing up in Sawtell, was pleased to provide this contribution to the area. "The Humpty Dumpty Foundation makes a big difference to the lives of children and their families across Australia and we’re very proud to support the great work they do”.
After handing over the Vital Signs Monitor, Leigh Ainsworth generously made a pledge to personally fund another vital monitoring machine for the hospital.
“Coates Hire is also proud to sponsor Rally Australia here in Coffs Harbour and we thank the local community for supporting such a great event. We also thank the Humpty Dumpty Foundation for the opportunity to support the Coffs Harbour Health Campus".
Chris Atkinson added, “Coates Hire Rally Australia is iconic in this region and there’s a lot of community support for the event”. “It’s great to compete here and get so much support from the local fans”.
Executive Chairman and Founder of Humpty Dumpty Foundation, Paul Francis said, “Coates Hire has been an extremely valued supporter of the Humpty Dumpty Foundation for over 10 years. It is through the ongoing generosity of organisations like Coates Hire along with members of the community that Humpty Dumpty Foundation can continue to deliver essential pieces of equipment to hospitals and health services across Australia.
“Humpty’s Patron Ray Martin and I recently visited Coffs Harbour Health Campus. We found by visiting hospitals it enables us to assess, review and witness first-hand the medical equipment needs of health professionals in the region and the long-term benefits to the community” said.
