We’re fortunate to be living in a nation with worldclass living standards and a high quality of life. Unfortunately there are thousands of Australian men, women and children without adequate food, shelter, or safe and hygienic living standards. Hundreds of Aussies are diagnosed yearly with cancer with many losing their lives – a sad reality most of us have experienced, either directly or indirectly, through a loved friend or family member.
Coates Hire is committed to playing its part within the communities it operates in, to play our part in a safer, healthier and happier future for future generations.
Far from a recent initiative, Coates Hire have been active supporters of Children’s Cancer Institute Australia since their public listing in 1996. The CCIA were the beneficiaries of rounding from dividend payments under the Coates Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRP) where shareholders nominated rounding's to go into shares to be issued to the CCIA.
Coates Hire also supports the CCIA via its annual Melbourne Cup client function, Annual CCIA charity Ball and various support programmes such as product launches every year.
Scores of Coates Hire Men & Women convert to ‘Mo Bro’s’ and ‘Mo Sista’s’ in the month of November to support Movember. The Coates Hire Mo Bro’s network facilitates in collecting money to support programs targeting prostate cancer and male depression.
Coates Hire is also proud to be an official equipment provider for some of Australia’s largest non-profit events. For the 10.10.10 Sleepout event, an event raising funds for Sydney’s Homeless, Coates Hire supplied the lighting towers, porta-loos and power generators for the mass contingent brave enough to weather a night in Centennial Park (http://www.hrx.com.au/101010sleepout/index.html).
