After achieving his most successful weekend of V8 Supercars racing at Townsville three weeks ago, Coates Hire Racing's Nick Percat is determined to continue his good form at this weekend’s championship round at Queensland Raceway, the Coates Hire 400.
COATES HIRE 400 PREVIEW
Percat left Townsville fifth overall for the weekend with a career-best fourth place in the opening race and backed that up by finishing ninth in the second race and fifth in the final 250km encounter.
His qualifying performance was excellent, highlighted with a front row start aboard the HHA Racing V8 Supercar, in the second race of the weekend and top-10 starting spots in the other two.
In 2008 Percat won the Formula Ford round at Queensland Raceway and showed strong form and tremendous pace in the Dunlop series in 2012.
Nick Percat: “Being the Coates Hire sponsored event, I enjoy good support there and it’s great to meet all their customers and take part in the event activations.
“I’ve always had good pace at Queensland Raceway and hopefully we can keep the car in the top ten like we did in Townsville and carry that momentum through this weekend and eventually into the enduros later in the year”.
