Working in a Coates Hire branch is challenging, demanding and rewarding. In a branch you are working with customers to understand what their requirements are and then sourcing all of the necessary equipment to ensure that it is ready and delivered on time. Sharon Hood

Sales Co-ordinator Toowoomba

'I enjoy interacting with all levels of the business'. Bright & bubbly, Rachele is known to leave a positive impression with whoever she meets. Commencing employment as a Area Manager in 2006, Rachele applied and was successfully appointed as the Site Accommodation Product Manager in September 2009.

Over the course of his career, he has experienced a great deal through various roles and working with a variety of different people.

Duane Cliff

Group Manager Treasury & Financial Analysis

'Coates Hire has a great soul, a no nonsense culture and prides itself on getting the job done right'. Head hunted in 2006 by the previous Financial Controller of Coates Hire, Duane was immediately interested in working for the company. Duane is responsible for Treasury (Debt and Cash on deposit), Acquisitions, Budgets, Forecasting and Finance Board Reporting.

Largest Ever Apprentice Intake at Coates Hire

Coates Hire will shortly engage recruitment for 45 new apprentices in the mechanical and electrical trade areas. These will be across our various locations around Australia.

We expect the successful candidates to commence their apprenticeship in early 2012 with our contract partner, Skilled Group.

These positions will be open for all school leavers and adults seeking a recognised trade, so if you are mechanically minded, a team player and willing to learn - WE ARE TARGETING YOU!

OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS

Our hire process revolves around the premise of selecting people based on merit. We give all applicants the opportunity to give us information on why they believe they could successfully perform a job and become part of the Coates Hire team.

Generally all job applicants are asked to complete an online application and will then participate in a telephone interview.

Shortlisted applicants would then have a face to face interview with the recruiting manager followed by reference checking. Depending on the role being applied for, applicants may also be asked to participate in other selection activities, such as assessments and/or background checks.

Shortlisted applicants will be required to complete a medical including drug and alcohol screening (arranged and paid for by Coates Hire).

If you are successul in being appointed to a role, we will initially make you a verbal offer, followed by a formal letter confirming the offer and the details of the role. The letter will include information on accepting the offer and the details of the role.

The entire process is confidential and we keep applicants informed of the next steps throughout the selection process.
