About the product
SIte dumpers with a skip that can dump in front or on either side are a great solution to tight, constricted sites with little room
Coates Hire involvement
In response to market demand, Coates Hire's Eastern business is taking delivery of new site dumpers specifically suited to confined job sites or to soft uneven ground that a tipper truck can’t operate on.
The machines are being supplied by United Kingdom-based manufacturer Thwaites. The company first pioneered the site dumper concept almost 40 years ago and has remained at the forefront of developments in this equipment in Europe, where the Thwaites machines are very popular with contractors, due to their rugged design and superior performance.
Coates Hire is initially offering 6 and 9 tonne payload machines with swivelling 180 degree skips that can dump in front or on either side, a particularly appealing feature for pipe contractors backfilling trenches.
The four wheel drive site dumpers have low ground pressure tyres and a strong pivoting centre hitch that enables the machine to work in confined areas or on unstable surfaces. A rollover protection structure, with optional Level 1 falling over protection structure available if needed, and a seat belt cut-out switch are operator safety design features.
The decision to purchase the Thwaites site dumpers was made after evaluation of a number of different machines.
