This course is the first step in conducting plant hazard identification, plant risk assessments and the control of hazardous plant.

What will be covered
  • Most sites run a plant induction process to ensure plant is in good working order and fit for purpose prior to allowing operators, workers, or contractors to operate the plant on-site.
  • Often persons charged with conducting these plant inspections are unfamiliar with the type of equipment they are inducting.

A Certificate of Attendance or Plant Familiarisation Card detailing the specific make and model of items of plant.

  • The ability to read and correctly interpret complex signage; speak clearly and unambiguously in English; and to explain, describe and verify sometimes complex needs and issues.
  • Writing is required to the level of completing workplace forms.
