The skills attained in this course are appropriate for persons who will be erecting and dismantling aluminium or steel scaffold up to a 4m working height.

What will be covered

This course is based on Australian Standard 1576, various codes of practice and includes:

  • WHS requirements, risk assessments and JSAs
  • Components of scaffolding
  • Site and job planning activities
  • Pre-operational and post-operational check activities
  • Identify, report and record faults
  • Erection and dismantling of scaffold towers
  • Trainee Card
  • Statement of Attainment for CPCCCM2008 Erect and Dismantle Restricted Height Scaffolding
  • Candidates must hold the Construction Induction White Card
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • The ability to read and correctly interpret complex signage; speak clearly and unambiguously in English. Writing is required to the level of completing workplace forms
