This course is for Electrical supply industry workers, electricians and other persons who may be required to execute an emergency release of a person receiving a low voltage electric shock. The CPR component also meets legislative requirements and is for persons who may be required to carry out cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

What will be covered
  • The performance of rescue procedures from live Low Voltage apparatus, not including overhead lines and underground cables
  • The performance of rescue procedures from an elevating work platform
  • Skills and knowledge required to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines

Statement of Attainment issued by Admire Workplace Safety (RTOID91330) for the following units of competency:

  • UETTDRRF06B – Perform rescue from a live LV panel
  • HLTAID001 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • Trainee Card
  • Ability to read and correctly interpret complex signage; speak clearly and unambiguously in English; and to explain, describe and verify sometimes complex needs and issues. Writing is required to the level of completing workplace forms.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Photo ID
  • Refresher is required yearly
  • Problem solving activities & questions (written)
  • Short answer questions (written)
  • Group participation
  • Practical demonstration / observation
  • Recognition of prior learning (if applicable)
